About Us

Our mission is to empower people to do good

Our Belief

It's time to get smart about saving the world

Listen, we get it. There's a lot going on right now. From climate change to homelessness, it feels like there are a million social causes that need our support and it can be hard to figure out where to even begin.
Who should we donate our limited time and money to? Should we give more to one nonprofit or less to more? Where are our donations going and who are they helping? Is any of this even working?
These are complicated questions but the stakes are too high to leave them up to guesswork and gut-instinct. That's where we come in. We've crunched the numbers and done the research for you. The result? Impact Labs: a fresh approach to social impact that makes it easy for you to make a difference.

Our guiding principles

📍

Local Impact

We’re building tools to invest in our communities. Our funds feature top local nonprofits that are actually in touch with the challenges facing their regions, not the big brand-name organizations that many donors typically default to.

♻️

Proactive and Sustainable

Many of us donate reactively when we’re motivated emotionally by a major event or crisis. We want to change that by focusing on recurring donations that provide immediate support while also laying the ground-work for long-term solutions.

📈

Outcomes-first Strategies

We’re not here to take a magnifying glass to balance sheets and punish nonprofits for spending on necessary overhead. Our focus is on real-world results. What is the breadth of impact created by a program? How deeply does that address the underlying issue? Outcomes are what matter most to us.

🥰

Fun and Easy

We’re not in the business of guilt-tripping or making you navigate through dozens of tax hoops to make a difference. Doing good should feel good. Our work gives you what you need to make simple giving decisions and have fun helping others.
